Grow with Action®3 Junior®

As children grow and develop, a key feature of a children’s wheelchair is that it can be adjusted to accommodate the child’s individual growth and needs. With the new Invacare Action®3 Junior®, the width of the seat and backrest can be adjusted, as can the height of the arm and footrests.

An individual fit with extensive size combinations

When choosing a paediatric wheelchair, a key factor is ensuring a perfect and comfortable fit for the child. The Action®3 Junior® comes in one of the most extensive ranges of size combinations, offering the right fit for all children, from toddlers to teenagers.

Optional design with increased stability for active children

Active children who are likely to climb all over the wheelchair and be especially energetic when propelling the chair forward, will benefit from the special rigid version of the Action®3 Junior®. This model features out-rigged front castors to prevent the child from tipping forward when climbing up or over the footplates.

Easy to transport, light in weight

Thanks to the lightweight design, folding backrest, quick release wheels and detachable arm- and leg rests, the Action®3 Junior® is very suitable for transportation and storage.

Options and Features

• Seat-width adjustment The seat width of the chassis can be adjusted with a new telescopic crossbar for four fixed-seat positions.
  (Action®3 - Small: 20.5 to 28 cm
  Action®3 - Large: 30.5 to 38 cm.)
• Upholstery adjustment As the chassis is made wider, so the upholstery on the back and on the seat of the chair can be made wider with Velcro flaps
• Adjustable seat height and balance For improved driving performance and different height options, the rear wheel can be mounted in 20 different positions. Wheels can be positioned to ‘active’, standard’, ‘comfort’ or ‘amputee’ rear wheel position to suit the child’s different needs.
• Table tray We also offer a swing-away tray which can easily be folded away.
• Armrests Removable and height adjustable desk and junior armrests as well as skirt and mudguards are available.
• Spoke guard Three different types of spoke guards are offered to match the different wheelchair colours and tastes.
• Backrest types On top of the fixed backrest (0 or 7 degree) Invacare Action®3 Junior® offers 4 additional types of backrests to suit different needs:
  1. Gas spring reclining (0/30 degree)
  2. Ratchet reclining (0/30 degree)
  3. Folding backrest with fixed push handles
