Yesterday we were delighted to join many of the Whizz-Kidz family at the House of Commons.
Whizz-Kidz were holding their first national recognition event to celebrate the skills talent and achievements of their Ambassadors and volunteers, "The Kidz Unlimited 'Celebrating Achievement' Awards".
Stuart Andrew MP hosted the event, with Hollyoaks' Nick Pickard and Jimmy McKenna amusing us with their co-hosting skills.
Not only was this the first of these awards ceremonies, they also had the first ever live video stream of a Whizz-Kidz event on Facebook AND the first ever live beatboxing in the House of Commons - courtesy of Killa Kela!
Those of us watching the live behind-the-scenes video stream learned a new trick from Killa Kela to get us started at becoming a beatboxer just start by saying "Boots" and Cats" - why not give it a go!
It was a great event, and all of the Whizz-Kidz Ambassadors and volunteers were fully deserved of their nominations and awards - a huge congratulations to you all. Keep an eye on the Whizz-Kidz website for a full round-up of the events and see how you can support this inspirational charity.
