Hewerdine Team Running the Manchester 10k for Whizz-Kidz

Helen Leese has organised a Hewerdine team to take part in the Manchester 10k run on 15th May 2011 to raise vital funds for the Whizz-Kidz charity, a charity close to our heart.

A History of Hewerdine & Whizz-Kidz

There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people who are waiting for appropriate mobility equipment in the UK. With this in mind, Hewerdine became Whizz-Kidz sole strategic partner in 2009.

Our aim together, is to ensure every disabled child has an opportunity to lead a fully inclusive and individual life. Nationwide assessment clinics are set up between Whizz-Kidz and Hewerdine to provide essential mobility equipment – our goal is “a child in a chair, in a day”.
