CF Hewerdine operate 7 wheelchair contracts for the National Health Service and have a further 20 NHS Hospital contracts for the repair and servicing of wheelchairs. The Company also has a flourishing private sales and servicing operation and this also includes contracts for assessing clients and repairs.
We are now Motability Accredited and can offer 2 further methods of purchasing - the Scheme is available to anyone who receives either the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement.
There are two options (contract hire and hire purchase) that enable you to turn your mobility allowance into a mobility solution for your needs. Your dealer will help you decide which option would be best suited for your personal preference and financial budget.
Contract Hire includes:
• Powered wheelchair or scooter
• Insurance
• Extended warranty
• Servicing and repairs
• Tyres (excluding punctures) and batteries
• Breakdown cover
Hire Purchase includes:
• Powered wheelchair or scooter
• Insurance
With Hire Purchase, you are responsible for organising and paying for any servicing, repairs and breakdown cover.
If all of your mobility allowance is not used, the remainder will be paid to you in the usual way
